What is Sun Salutation or Surya Namaskar or Surja Pranam ?

What is sun salutation?
Sun salutation is a special types of yoga practice. It is an ancient technique of giving respect to sun. It is a set of 12 different yoga poses. It is called master of all yoga asana. Because sun salutation includes 12 different yoga poses which is covered more over all yoga asana. Every morning and dawn, before sunrise and after sunset the nature becomes calm. At that time air is fulfilled with fresh air or prana sakti or our life energy by which we are alive. The 12 poses are-

1. Prayer pose or Pranamasana
2. Raised arms pose or Hastauttanasana
3. Hand on foot pose or Hasta Padasana
4. Equestrian pose or Ashwa Sanchalanasana
5. Stick pose or Dandasana
6. Ashtanga Namaskar
7. Cobra pose or Bhujangasana
8. Mountain pose or Parvatasana
9. Equestrian pose or Ashwa Sanchalanasana
